Back-to-school season is here, and I had to make something boo-tifully cheeky for the teacher squad! Meet our newest DIY: a cozy neon violet Comfort Colors tee featuring our adorable Teacher Ghost—complete with a pencil bow, of course! ✏️💀
Whether you’re crafting for yourself, a teacher bestie, or prepping gifts for the whole staff lounge, this HTV t-shirt tutorial is a total win!
💡 Step-by-Step Tutorial:
1. Prep Your Design
Download the SVG file and upload it to Design Space. Resize the ghost to fit your shirt (I used approx. 4.5” wide).
Pro tip: Mirror each layer if you're using HTV!
2. Cut Your Vinyl by Color
I separated the file into 5 color layers:
White = Ghost Body
Black = Outline
Yellow = Pencil
Blush Pink = Bow + Cheeks
Silver Gray = Pencil
Cut each one using your Cricut with HTV setting, making sure to place the shiny side down.
3. Layer + Press the Design
Now for the fun part! Start layering and pressing each piece with your Cricut EasyPress Mini.
I recommend this order:
Black outline – line it up carefully!
White base (ghost body) – press for 10-12 sec
Black outline – line it up carefully!
Pencil + Bow layers – add a little ✏️💁♀️ charm
Final touch: those blush cheeks and silver detail!
✅ Don’t forget to use a heat mat to protect your surface and get that even press!
👀 The Finished Look
